    Understanding and applying the complex maze of employment laws governing disability and health leave management can be a daunting task. Tim Loudon, a partner with Jackson Lewis, LLP (and, formerly with Berens & Tate, P.C.), will address the interplay and coordination of the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended by the ADA Amendments Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and South Dakota's workers' compensation laws. Mr. Loudon's presentation will address the nuances and intricacies of these laws, as well as practical strategies for compliance.

    Timothy D. Loudon is a Partner in the Omaha, Nebraska office of Jackson Lewis LLP. Mr. Loudon has successfully defended management in excess of 1,000 discrimination charges throughout the United States, appearing before numerous EEOC, state, county, and municipal FEP agencies. He has also assisted employers to prevail in discharge arbitrations involving drug testing, sleeping on the job, insubordination, patient abuse, theft, falsification of records, making terroristic threats, and absenteeism. Mr. Loudon has assisted employers to win numerous contract interpretation cases, including various time study, seniority, and “act of God” disputes. Mr. Loudon earned his J.D. in 1981 from the University of Nebraska College of Law, and his B.A. in 1975 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, sociology and political science.
